Almond Flour Buns
Bread is a good staple in my kitchen since I can make a quick breakfast, dinner, or even lunch with it. Despite loving bread I tried to avoid it for its high carbs and gluten content until I started to discover healthier options both in the market and to make at home. This recipe was recommended by a friend that was on a kept diet, I tried it and it turned out to be so easy and good that I have been doing my almond flour buns since then. Low-carb, gluten-free, soft, and delicious:
Ingredients
150 gr. almond flour
40 gr. flaxseed flour - psyllium
Sesame seeds
3 egg whites
1 tablespoon baking powder
225 ml. hot water
1 teaspoon Salt
Apple cider vinegar (optional)
Equipment
Oven
Preheat the oven to 180° C
Mix the almond flour, flaxseed flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl
Add the hot water, a splash of the vinegar, and the egg whites to the mix and beat constantly for 30 seconds
Form the buns (around 6), sprinkle some sesame seeds, and place them in a tray over baking paper
Bake for 50-60 mins and enjoy!
